Privacy Policy

We don't ask who you are. There are no accounts, no email sign-ups, no real names and no passwords. We don't track you, we show no ads, and we never sell, rent or trade your information. The only things anyone can see are what you do as a player: your username if you choose one, your games on the leaderboards, and anything you post in the Trollbox.

Your wallet stays with you

Your wallet is created in your own browser, from a 12-word recovery phrase. The phrase and your private keys stay on your device: they are never sent to us, and we can't see or recover them. Your browser keeps the phrase only for the current session (until you close your last Insert Coin tab) and remembers your public wallet addresses so it can show your account.

What is public, by design

To run the games and the leaderboards, we keep the following on our servers, and anyone can see them:

• Your public wallet addresses (BitcoinSV addresses are public by nature).
• The username you choose, if you choose one.
• Your game results: wins, matches, points and sats won or lost, shown on the leaderboards.
• Your Trollbox posts and reactions.
• Your NFTs and NFT trades.

Real-BSV payments, Trollbox posts and NFT trades are recorded on the BitcoinSV blockchain, which is public and permanent: no one, including us, can edit or delete a blockchain record. Every transaction made through Insert Coin carries a small public label, InsertCoin.pro, and what it is for (a stake, a point, a tip, a username…), so blockchain explorers can show that it came from Insert Coin. The label holds nothing about you.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your name, email address, phone number, home address, date of birth, location, contacts or payment card details. We use no analytics or advertising tools, no tracking pixels and no tracking cookies, and we don't build profiles of the people who play.

The little else we handle

• Feedback: if you send feedback, we receive your message, the email address if you give one (it's optional), your username if you have one, and the page and browser you sent it from, so we can read it, fix what you found and reply. We keep it to improve Insert Coin and use it for nothing else.
• Who's online: to show how many people are playing, your browser sends a random, anonymous session number that we keep in memory for a few minutes. It isn't linked to you and isn't stored.
• Server logs: like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep the service secure and running. We don't use them to identify or track players.
• Abuse protection: to stop spam, we briefly hold the network address a request came from in memory. It isn't stored.

Voice chat

Voice chat is optional and runs directly between players' browsers. Your microphone is used only if you allow it, and only while you're in a game room: it's released when you leave. We don't record, store or relay any audio; it never passes through our servers. To connect players, voice chat uses a public connection service (Google's STUN servers), and as with any direct connection, the other players in your room and that service can see your network (IP) address. To keep your microphone off, don't allow it, or block it for this site in your browser's settings; where a game offers it, you can mute any other player just for you.

Services that help run the site

Some parts of the page load from other providers: fonts from Google Fonts, icons from Iconify, and some code libraries from public code networks (CDNs). Like any website request, these providers receive your network address when your browser loads them. Our servers also look up the BitcoinSV price and public blockchain data (such as wallet balances) from WhatsOnChain, and send transactions to the BitcoinSV network through GorillaPool; those requests come from our servers, not from your browser.

Storage on your device

Insert Coin uses your browser's own storage to remember your settings (such as sound and mouse speed) and your wallet as described above. This stays on your device. We set no tracking cookies.

Children

Insert Coin is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. Competitive play is for adults only (see our Terms of Use).

Your choices

• You never have to choose a username: without one, the leaderboards show a shortened wallet address.
• You can start fresh at any time with a new wallet.
• Ask us to remove your username, your feedback or other information we hold on our servers by writing to hello@insertarcade.com. We can't remove records from the BitcoinSV blockchain, which no one controls.

Changes

If we change how Insert Coin handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
