HOW IT WORKS

Pong on Bitcoin SV. Every point you win is paid to you on-chain, right away, from your opponent's stake.

FREE AND COMPETITIVE

  • Free: play the bot (easy, normal or hard) or invite a friend, with pretend sats that top up automatically.
  • Competitive: play another person for real BSV.

Both modes run exactly the same game: the same physics, the same escrow, the same signatures, a payment on every point. Free mode records its transactions on a pretend ledger instead of broadcasting them. So practicing in Free is practicing the real thing, and any change to the gameplay applies to both.

YOUR NAME AND THE LEADERBOARD

Pick a name in the lobby. It's tied to your wallets by a signature, so nobody else can use your name or claim your results. The leaderboard ranks players by sats won from points (won minus lost), with separate boards for Competitive and Free.

1 · EACH PLAYER HAS A WALLET

You have two wallets, one for Free and one for Competitive, and both come from your 12-word recovery phrase. The words never leave your device and are never stored: this tab holds them until you close your last Insert Coin tab. To play Competitive, fund that wallet with a small amount of BSV. Save your words from the menu (Your 12 words): without them, nobody can get your wallets back.

2 · BOTH PLAYERS LOCK A STAKE

You agree on a price per point and how many points win the match. Each player locks enough to cover losing every point, plus fees. The stake goes into a 2-of-3 escrow: a coin that needs any two signatures out of three keys to move.

keys: YOU · OPPONENT · GAME SERVER (referee) spend: any 2 of the 3 must sign
  • The server can't take your stake alone. It only has one of the three keys.
  • A sore loser can't block a payment. The winner and the server sign it without them.
  • If the server disappears, you and your opponent can still move the escrow together.

3 · PLAY

Move your paddle with the mouse, touch, or W/S (↑/↓). The server runs the physics for both players, so neither browser can fake a hit. The ball speeds up with every return.

4 · EVERY POINT IS A TRANSACTION

  1. Your opponent misses.
  2. The server builds a transaction from their escrow: the stake goes to you, and the rest returns to their escrow.
  3. Your wallet checks it: it only signs if the transaction pays you exactly the stake and returns the rest to the escrow. Then it co-signs automatically.
  4. The server adds its signature and broadcasts. The coin flies across the table and the payment appears in the log.

The player who owes the point pays the miner fee on it, about 35 sats.

5 · THE MATCH ENDS

First to the target score wins. Whatever is left in each escrow goes back to its owner, signed by the owner and the server. If a player disconnects for more than a minute, the match ends and refunds follow. Points already paid stay paid.

THE COLORS IN THE LOG

Amber sent · green seen on the network · gold mined into a block.

NEW COMPUTER?

Your wallets live in this browser. Use Back up wallet & name in the menu to save a backup code, then Restore on this device on the new computer. Your coins, name and leaderboard record all come with you, because they belong to your wallet addresses.

PLAY RESPONSIBLY

Stakes here are real money. Rules on playing others for money differ from place to place. Only play where it's allowed, and only with amounts you're comfortable losing.
